Itinerary Itinerary

Amsterdam is known as "the Venice of the North", and there is no wonder why. More than 100 km of canals divides the city into small islands connected by more than 1,500 beautiful bridges. The canals in the historic centre of Amsterdam were officially recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2010.

We will see the Magere Brug, or Skinny Bridge, which joins both banks of the Amstel river, is one of the most important bridges in Amsterdam. It is a double bascule bridge with a design inspired by 17th century Dutch architecture and isn’t as narrow as we may imagine. It was built in 1934 on the same spot as its predecessor, a bridge so narrow that it’s said pedestrians had to cross it one by one.

The World Heritage-listed 17th century canals, or grachten as they are called in Dutch, will be our hosts on this adventure. We will be able to relax and enjoy the quaint streets of Amsterdam, with their beautiful buildings and houseboats, from the water. We will learn all about the history of these beautiful canal houses and the merchants who lived in them on our boat cruise.

We will also be able to relish the beauty of the most famous of the waterways that form the canal belt: Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht canals. They are the most grandiose and fashionable canals in Amsterdam and a true delight to glide through by boat.

Amsterdam has a great amount of magnificent medieval buildings we will discover on this boat cruise, and among them are its many Gothic churchesEnjoy fantastic views of Amsterdam from the glass-top roof deck.   Visit some of the most popular monuments and quarters of Amsterdam from the city’s beautiful canals. Amsterdam will thank you for choosing to ride on silent, solar-powered boats.

Don’t miss it: it's unique, it's the glass top roof Tour! These Canals Boat Cruise is a great activity to have the most authentic Amsterdam experience. Of course, we have many more plans for you to get the most out of your stay in Amsterdam.

*Please note: every cruise can be different depending on the traffic on the canals. So you may not see all the sights mentioned in the description.
