Day Trip to Bruges from Amsterdam

Have a good night's rest, because our trip starts early in the morning, in the city center, where we’ll head towards the jewel of Flanders: Bruges, the famous and acclaimed “Venice of the North”.

Once we arrive at Bruges our tour will start at the Lake of Love, a place whose numerous legends are widely spread, and whose numerous stories we'll tell you about! On this starting point, we’ll also briefly explain the history of Belgium and how Bruges came to be.

Afterwards we’ll visit the Bruges Beguinage, a place declared UNESCO’s World Heritage, a unique place full of charms. The Beguines were initially a pious association, a very revolutionary movement that deeply transformed the ideas of its time, so don't miss the chance to learn a bit more about them!

From there we will walk to the historic center of the city, where we’ll talk about the acclaimed Brugse Zot, a craft beer that can only be found in Bruges. Beer enthusiasts better be ready, you all will have a once-in-a-life chance! We will also see the church of Our Lady of Bruges or Bruges Notre Dame, the second tallest tower in the world built purely by bricks and also a place with a notorious collection of sacred art.

Our tour will continue till we reach one of the most charming areas and the main selfie point in the city: the Dijver canal. This beautiful place is where we will enjoy the best views and take the most impressive photos.

We will also see the old fish markets, today converted into squares full of life and leisure, and the Grote Markt, the city's main square, where we’ll see the 12th-century bell tower and the provincial court.
