Itinerary
Visit two of Belgium's most important cities and the symbol of Brussels. From the centre of Brussels, we will head to the majestic city of Antwerp, but not before making a stop at one of the most emblematic monuments of the Belgian capital, the Atomium.
More than 100 metres high, it is one of the best-known and most visited places in Brussels, which leaves everyone who visits it speechless, because it is an atom magnified 165 trillion times. Its spheres, some 18 metres in diameter, represent the nine provinces of Belgium.
From the Atomium, we will head for Antwerp, a monumental city located just fifty kilometres from Brussels, which has been an significant point for European and world trade.
Once there, you will be able to discover all the charms and must-see sights of the city with your guide on a walking tour. The first stop on the tour will be Steenplein, which means stone square. Here you will enjoy an introduction to the history of the city before heading to the Grote Markt.
You will see the town hall, the various guild houses and the sculpture of Standbeld van Bravo. The Church of St. Charles Borromeo is known for its baroque architecture and the clear influence of Rubens, which you can discover before approaching the Groenplaats.
Here you will find the Cathedral of Our Lady of Antwerp, which houses many treasures, including a collection of works of art. You will have some free time to explore it further before heading on to the next destination.
The next stop on the tour is Ghent, another charming Belgian city. There will also be a guided tour where the first thing you will see is the town hall and the famous towers on the skyline; a charming postcard.
The first is St. Bavo's Cathedral, where the real star is none other than the altarpiece of The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, which you can visit on your own at the end of the tour.
The city's bell tower is home to one of the most monumental medieval towers in existence, and as you pass by the Church of St. Nicholas you will learn about the history of one of Ghent's oldest Gothic churches.
Nearby, you will find the Wheat Market; today, this space is the main square of Ghent. From there, you will reach St. Michael's Bridge, the perfect place to make the most of the romantic surroundings and views before enjoying some free time in the city.
After your visit to Ghent, you will return to Brussels after a fascinating day of exploring the most beautiful and emblematic places in the country. Join us to discover Belgium!
