We will pass through Cimadevilla Street and come out onto the Plaza de la Constitución under the arches of the City Hall. During the Civil War, this building was destroyed and later rebuilt giving it the majestic form it has today.

From the Fontán we will head towards the Escandalera. This is the seat of the General Assembly of the Principality of Asturias. We will cross over to the Plaza de la Escandalera, where the Asturias anthem is played at rush hour.

The statue of ‘La Maternidad’ is known as ‘La Gorda.’ It is the work of Fernando Botero, and it is said that touching it brings love and good luck. From here we will cross to the Campoamor Theatre.
