Day Trip to Luarca, Cudillero and Avilés from Oviedo

Leave the capital of the Principality aside to get to know its coast in Cudillero, Luarca and Avilés. Do it, moreover, without having to worry about planning anything, and live a day in three unique places where you will connect with its tradition, industry and progress.

Starting early in the morning, we will explore the natural beauty of the Asturias coastline in a comfortable bus with an expert local guide. We will depart from the meeting point in Oviedo towards Luarca, our initial destination.

Luarca

This fishing village nestled in the west of Asturias is the perfect blend of nature and tradition, which usually combine perfectly in this region.

We will be able to walk along the dock, the fishing port and the Miares square. We will enjoy a guided tour of one hour by the guides who will accompany us, and then we will have free time. 

We will also take the opportunity to visit the Ermita de la Regalina, in Cadavedo, one of the most special places in western Asturias and with panoramic views of the Cantabrian Sea between cliffs.

Cudillero

After approximately three hours in the area of Luarca, we will arrive in Cudillero. Here, one of the most beautiful and authentic villages in Spain awaits us, with its colorful houses carved into the hillside and always facing the sea.

On the way to the center, the guide will give us interesting information about the place and then let us enjoy the village at our own pace. 

We will be about two hours, with an hour and a half to eat if desired or to continue discovering among the narrow streets and viewpoints -follow the anchors or the fish and you will find them- and enjoying the serenity of this quiet village.

Avilés

This excursion from Oviedo to Avilés takes us to the city of the Niemeyer Center, a key destination for the Asturian industry, located just half an hour by bus from Cudillero. 

We will take a half-hour guided tour and then we will have some free time to stroll around its Plaza de la Merced, the old town or along the shore of the estuary, where you can breathe the special essence of the port.

To end our day, we will return to Oviedo around 6:30 pm, after having discovered some of the jewels of the Asturian Cantabrian Sea in an organized and, above all, enriching plan for the whole family.
