Itinerary
The start of this day trip will be at Praça Dom Pedro IV, in front of the National Theatre. In just half an hour, we will arrive at Quinta da Regaleira. This is a palace and gardens located in the heart of Sintra Park. Built in the 20th century, its artistic value is more than remarkable, since several movements come together in a single construction.
Inside the Quinta da Regaleira you will find many places to stop at. However, none will attract your attention as much as the Sintra Initiatory Well. It has 9 different heights from which spring thousands of unsolved mysteries. We will tell you all about them!
In addition, in order to make the trip more comfortable, you should know that the entrance tickets to Quinta da Regaleira are included in this tour. This way, the bus will take you directly to the monument without having to wait in the queues to buy your ticket.
The next stop on the tour is the Pena Palace -tickets are included- and if you want to get a closer look at how the Portuguese Royal Family lived in the 19th century, this is the place! A space painted a pristine white that looks like something out of a fairytale. No wonder it is the most visited monument in the whole country. The Palacio da Pena was born as a result of the mixture of different styles: Manueline, Gothic and Baroque elements.
The next stop of our tour is Sintra, where we will have free time for lunch. We will get to know the most important places of the town and a good part of its secrets and stories.
Afterwards, we will head to Cascais. A destination that has always been linked to Portugal's monarchy - who spent their summers here since the 19th century - and to the country's most significant landmarks, due, in part, to its strategic location by the sea. This typical fishing village boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, 19th century mansions, museums, and places where you can recreate its past.
Finally, before getting off the bus, we will enjoy a panoramic tour of Estoril, where we will see some of the most emblematic points of these portuguese city. Don't miss the opportunity to get to know Lisbon's surroundings, learn about its history, traditions, and gastronomy. Book now!
