Day trip to the Algarve from Lisbon

Did you know that less is more when it comes to enjoying a trip? On this tour to the Algarve from Lisbon we have designed a route that prioritizes time and quality. Instead of accumulating stops, we will take you to the most emblematic places of this Portuguese region so you can experience them at your leisure.

We will depart from Lisbon to Ponta da Piedade, in Lagos. This corner of the Algarve is known for its spectacular cliffs of golden rock that rise above deep blue waters.

Carved by wind and sea, these natural formations create unique arches, grottos and caves. Here you will have 45 minutes to explore the surroundings, take postcard photographs or enjoy the sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks.

Our next stop will be the city of Lagos, famous for being one of the main departure points for exploratory voyages during the Portuguese Discoveries.

Together with our local guide, you will walk through its cobblestone streets full of history, the church of St. Anthony or the old slave market and discover the richness of its seafaring past. Afterwards, you will have free time to stroll around the port or finish visiting all its heritage.

In the afternoon, we will move to Albufeira, a former fishing village that has been transformed into one of the most popular destinations in the Algarve. Its old town is a labyrinth of white narrow streets with small stores, bars and restaurants full of charm. 

After a guided tour to discover its main attractions, you can taste the local gastronomy: from fish and seafood fresh from the Atlantic, such as cataplana or grilled octopus, to traditional sweets such as almond cakes.
