Itinerary
We start a day of family connection, rest and cultural discovery in which we start in Gijón, but we will visit not one or two, but three essential places in Asturias.
This day is organized in detail: the guide who will discover the destinations, the comfortable bus and the interesting route through the jewels of the Asturian coast. Our trip starts in Gijón in the morning and, from here, we will depart to the fishing village of Luarca, in Valdés.
Luarca
This town is located by the sea, with a port full of animation and restaurants. In its old town you will be able to see the daily life of its inhabitants.
We will discover the Town Hall and the casino, as well as the fabulous houses of indianos, so characteristic of the history of many Asturian villages.
In the cemetery we will be able to contemplate the best views of Luarca before going to the hermitage of La Regalina, one of the most special places of this natural paradise.
Cudillero
Upon arrival, we can contemplate its port, popularly known as the Amphitheater for its peculiar rounded shape. Cudillero has been classified as a Historic-Artistic Site, as well as the most beautiful village in Spain.
In it, we will make a walking tour from the parking lot to the center of town and then you will have free time, which you can take advantage of to taste the Asturian gastronomy or enjoy the tranquility of the Asturian coast.
If you want to complete this visit, we recommend you to visit the Casa Rectoral, as well as the famous Cudillero Lighthouse, located on top of a watchtower with incredible views.
Avilés
We will arrive in the industrial city in mid-afternoon. In an organized tour, you will visit the Niemeyer Center and the Sabugo neighborhood, two authentic emblems. Also its seafaring tradition and the Church of Santo Tomás, popularly known as “The Cathedral”. Afterwards, there will be free time to stroll around at your own pace.
Once we have discovered the third most important city in the region, we will return to Gijón around 18:00, with time to rest after the adventure.
