Day trip to Picos de Europa from Cangas de Onís, Cares route and Cabrales tasting

On this excursion you will have a full day's experience that will take you from Cangas de Onís to the Cares Route, passing through the very heart of Bulnes and Arenas de Cabrales.

After the bus ride, we will make our first stop in Poncebos, the gateway to the famous Cares Route. You will have the opportunity to walk its first section, a path where the Cares River meanders between gorges and mountains.

In the afternoon, we will visit Arenas de Cabrales, the birthplace of the famous Cabrales cheese. Here we will visit the cheese cave to learn all the secrets of this unique delicacy.

During the visit to the cave, you will discover how this blue cheese is made, from its maturing in natural caves to its distribution. Finally, a tasting of Cabrales, accompanied by cider, is the best way to end an unforgettable day in the mountains.
