Itinerary

Day 1: Brussels

The city of Tintin, Chips, Manneken Pis and the Grand Place kicks off this comprehensive five-day tour of Belgium and the Netherlands.

On this first day, accommodation in the city is included, so all you have to worry about is enjoying yourself. You can make a stop at Delirium, which is for many the best brewery in the world, visit the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula or visit museums such as the Fine Arts Museum or the Museum of Instruments. Before ending the day, we recommend you try a local waffle.

Day 2: Amsterdam

Early in the morning, the bus will take you to Amsterdam, which has 75 kilometres of canals, part of which you will see on the walking tour of the city.

You'll see the world's narrowest house, learn the meaning of the three Xs on the Amsterdam flag, and learn local curiosities such as why no one has curtains. There will be no shortage of details about the city's most famous district: the Red-Light District.

At lunchtime, we'll store your bags so you don't have to carry them, and you'll have free time to continue at your own pace. In the mid-afternoon, we will meet again and bring the tour to an end.

With the Amsterdam Travel Ticket, you can easily travel to the nearby village of Volendam, where the hotel is located.

Day 3: Dutch countryside

The trip to the Dutch countryside starts at the time and place agreed with your guide the day before, and takes you to the outskirts of Amsterdam.

The first stop is Haarlem, one of the most charming and peaceful towns in the Netherlands. Only here you can drink a local Jopen beer in a church converted into a brewery. We will stop at the Grote Markt, the central market square, and visit St. Bavo's Cathedral, where Mozart played the organ.

Continue to Zaanse Schans, where you will see the famous windmills that you have seen so many pictures and postcards. The town was designed by an architect who wanted to preserve old buildings that were no longer in use and were to be demolished. A curious museum of clogs, the symbol of Holland, has its place here.

In the last destination of the day, Volendam, you can enjoy the real charm of an old fishing village. Strolling at sunset and taking a deep breath as you approach the harbour and its labyrinthine quarters will fill you with peace before the end of the day.

For dinner, you'll enjoy a traditional menu to satisfy your gastronomic curiosities. You'll be able to choose from several options, as well as having a children's menu available. Afterwards, you will have free time to continue discovering Volendam or relax at the hotel.

Day 4: Bruges

On the fourth day, you will head to Bruges from Amsterdam. It is considered one of the best preserved medieval cities in the world and one of the most beautiful in Europe. So much so that its historic centre is a World Heritage Site, as is its beguinary.

We will see the Notre Dame de Bruges, the second-tallest brick tower in the world, and the old fish markets, nowadays converted into squares full of life and joy.

The Grote Markt, surrounded by the 12th century bell tower and the provincial courthouse, and the statue of Pieter de Coninck are other must-see sights in the city.

The Lake of Love is one of the most romantic places in Bruges, but a boat trip along the canals is not to be missed. At the end of the tour, you will be taken by bus to Brussels for your last night in the capital.

Day 5: Brussels

We hope you had an unforgettable trip! Make the most of the rest of the day to explore Brussels at your leisure if you haven't already done so. It's the perfect time to buy some souvenirs, continue sampling the local gastronomy, or discover those places you've missed.

With this comprehensive five-day tour, you'll return home having experienced some of the best locations in Belgium and the Netherlands - that's nothing! Book your tour now!
