Itinerary
If you're travelling and feel like escaping the urban rhythm to discover some of Catalonia’s most iconic places, this plan combines nature, winemaking tradition and the sea – all in a single day.
The day begins in Montserrat, a serrated mountain range that is both a natural wonder, a spiritual centre and a cultural symbol of the region. Surrounded by unique rock formations and Mediterranean vegetation, the massif offers spectacular views over the Llobregat Valley and trails that pass by ancient hermitages. Here you'll find the Benedictine monastery and the basilica that houses the Virgin of Montserrat, known as La Moreneta, patron saint of Catalonia.
Entrance is included, with free access to the site and architectural details well worth seeing. From the viewpoints, the panoramic views of the massif and valley are breathtaking. You’ll also have free time in Montserrat: scenic walking paths, shops with local products and terraces overlooking the mountains.
Next, the tour heads to the heart of the Penedès, one of Spain’s most renowned wine regions. Here you'll visit Cavas Codorníu, a leading name in sparkling wine made using the traditional method. The visit includes an introduction to the production process, a walk through the Modernist winery buildings, and a train ride through the underground cellars. At the end, you’ll enjoy a cava tasting that reveals the nuances and aromas of a product deeply connected to the region’s identity. Bubbles that capture the essence, the landscape and the spirit of this land.
The final stop is this charming seaside town. A guided tour will take you through its most iconic streets, followed by free time to explore the historic centre, the Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, or to relax at a seafront terrace. Its laid-back atmosphere and Modernista aesthetic make it the perfect destination to end the day.
A perfect plan for a change of pace. Don’t miss it – the day promises to be unforgettable!
