Trip to Ribadesella, Llanes and Santillana del Mar from Gijon

We’ll depart from Gijón, one of the main cities in Asturias, and from there we’ll head to Ribadesella, a little fishing village full of charms.

The guided tour will take us to many of its most typical and emblematic buildings. We will visit the downtown and also the ‘Portiellu’ neighbourhood to understand a little better the history and tradition of this little Asturian town. One of the most characteristic and beautiful things you’ll see are its picturesque streets, where, scattered around, there are some houses and palaces that currently have become a must-see for all tourists. One of them, the Palace of Pietro Cutre, stands out as a jewel of the Asturian Renaissance, so you must totally not miss it!

Another things we must see in Ribadesella is the “Ermita de la Guía”, where the patron saint of sailors rests. Besides, on this place you’ll get amazing views of Ribadesella and also the Cantabrian Sea.

Our adventure continues towards Llanes, one of the most popular summer destinations in Asturias, both for its leisure time offers and for the beautiful places that can be visited here. With our guide we'll learn more about the most important places, but there will also be time to discover the most popular spaces such as the “Parres Sobrino” square, which rose to fame with the film “The Orphanage”, that was filmed in Llanes.

Our last stop though this trip will be outside Asturias, in Santillana del Mar, one of the places that you cannot miss in Cantabria. In there, we’ll walk through its peaceful narrow streets to see the Town Hall, the Palace or houses as imposing as the house of the Marquis of Santillana or the house of the Archduchess Margarita of Austria.
