If you are in Alicante and want to discover its surroundings and make the most of your trip, this excursion is perfect for you. Departing early in the morning we will head towards Benidorm, in which other participants will join the trip, before driving to Guadalest, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Spain.

In order not to miss any detail we will start with a walking tour that will take us to the most important monuments. We will learn about the history of the Castle of San José, one of its main tourist attractions and a fortress surrounded by mountains that offers spectacular panoramic views.

While we admire the Baroque church or the Town Hall square, we will delve into the disturbing secrets of the Orduña family, owners of one of the most outstanding 17th century noble houses in this town, where today you can admire valuable works of art.

Despite its size, Guadalest has numerous interesting and original galleries that are not to be missed. You will have the opportunity to visit the interior of the Museum of Microminiatures, the Microgiant Museum, the Museum of Salt and Pepper Shakers or the Ethnological Museum.

We will return to our bus and, in just half an hour, we will arrive in Altea, the second stop of the tour, where we will enjoy this special corner of the Costa Blanca accompanied by a guide. We will continue walking in the narrow cobbled streets of its old town while we contemplate its white houses with carefully decorated balconies.

In the historic centre, the church of Consuelo and its vaults stand out, visible from any point in this municipality of the Marina Baja. Once the walking tour is over, we will enjoy some free time to stroll around and have lunch, before heading to the last stop of the excursion: Fuentes del Algar.

This nature reserve offers numerous waterfalls and natural pools where you can enjoy a day in the open air. You'll have about two hours to explore it at your leisure, and you can visit the Arboretum or the Estret de Sacos area. If you feel like it, it's an ideal spot to take a dip and cool off before finishing and returning to Alicante.
