Comenzaremos nuestro recorrido en la Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba, una joya de arte arábigo. Podrás conocer un templo en el que la tradición musulmana y el culto cristiano se entrelazan, dando lugar a un espacio de oración y admiración único en el mundo.
Conoce el Patio de los Naranjos en el exterior antes de adentrarte a su nave central, repleta de columnas de mármol y arcos rojos y blancos. El guía te irá narrando todos los detalles de este templo esencial en la historia cordobesa.
Construido como mequita aljama en 784, pasaría más adelante a ser una catedral, fundiéndose las construcciones en una mezcla de estilos y detalles única, algo que le ha hecho obtener la protección de la UNESCO.
Una vez concluido nuestro recorrido por la Mezquita nos dirigiremos al Alcázar, donde el guía te mostrará los distintos usos de este monumento a lo largo de la historia, designado igualmente Patrimonio de la Humanidad a finales del siglo XX.

Visiting the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba is the most popular and traditional monument in the historic center of the city. It is a building that had great symbolism in the past (it was considered the second largest mosque in the world) and is still of great relevance today because it attracts millions of tourists every year. In fact, in 2019 two million people visited the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba.
With our visit inside the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba you will know in depth the historical importance of this place for the city. Among other aspects, our guide will explain, for example, that it is considered the best-preserved Muslim monument in the West. In addition, its decorative beauty and its dimensions are also known all over the world.
During the visit you will also discover some of the most special places of this temple: The chapels, The Column of the Holy Christ of the Captive, The Door of Forgiveness, The Patio de los Naranjos, Masterpieces such as the mural painting of the Baptism of Jesus or The Incarnation.
After visiting the Mosque, we will begin our tour of another historic area of the city: The Castle of the Christian Monarchs of Córdoba, popularly known as the Alcázar of Córdoba. It is an old fortress that was also the residence of the Catholic Monarchs and during its history was also the Seat of the Inquisition and a prison.
Inside this fortress we will see different rooms distributed around the patios. The most notable dependencies of this ancient fortress are:
- The access gallery, with a pagan sarcophagus from the 3rd century.
- The Hall of Mosaics. It is the old chapel of the Inquisition and is decorated with Roman mosaics. Below there are the Arabic-style bathrooms.
- A Mudejar style patio, decorated with marble and several canals and pools that are a breeze of fresh air if ours takes place in the hottest months of the year.
